My mixed media work is largely about the relationships I hold with family, lovers and myself.  These works are an investigation into my recurring feelings of aloneness. I define aloneness as a deep feeling of not belonging and a fear of having little to no control over my own circumstances.  The work looks at causes, results, coping mechanisms and vulnerabilities dealing with this sense of aloneness. I use a variety of materials to make this work and I strive to use humor, absurdity, tension and time to relay portions of my story.  I believe the universal is in the specifics, so as I investigate my own thoughts, fears and feelings, I strive to understand what it means to be human.
